Cafe Shalom, a program of Beth Shalom, will host a morning breakfast and speaker on Sunday, October 11.

The speaker will be Sherman Smith, editor-in-chief of The Kansas City Reflector. Smith founded the publication in 2020 to provide daily coverage of state government and politics. Smith, a three-time Kansas Press Association Journalist of the Year, will share his insights on Kansas's upcoming November elections.

The presentation will be in the Ohev Memorabilia Room at Beth Shalom at 10 am, followed by brunch in Goldsmith Hall at 11 am. The cost is $12 per person. Cafe Shalom events are open to the public.
